Founder and President:

Crosswinds Consultants was established in September, 1999, by Linda R. Ottaway Spotts.  Ms. Spotts has a successful career that spans more than twenty years in Human Resources recruitment and retention of employees for a Fortune 300 Company.  She has been recognized nationally for her innovative methods in recruitment.

During her employment with a Fortune 300 firm, Linda held positions of increasing responsibility with a commitment to diversity in recruitment and was commended for her achievements.  She has a track record of hiring employees whose skills are matched to their positions and for facilitating career tracks for their future in Manufacturing, IT, Engineering and Sales.  Linda received her Masters Degree in Human Resources from St. Francis College of Pennsylvania and holds undergraduate degrees in psychology and mathematics from Oswego State University of New York and Syracuse University, respectively.  She continues to update her credentials in national affiliations and continuing education courses.

In addition to her professional achievements and recognitions, she is active in SMEI (Sales and Marketing Executives International) Central PA and serves on their Board as Vice President of Education and chairs their SMEI Central PA College Career Fair. The 3rd career fair will be held on January 6, 2009 at the Olmstead Building, Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg for students attending any college or university who is home during winter break and is seeking a career in sales or marketing. Attending the previous fairs were: Rite Aid, Capitol Blue Cross, Tyco Electronics, UPS, George Weston Bakeries, ADP, Brown Transmission & Bearing, Cumulus Media, Giant Food Stores, JPL, PHEAA, SimplexGrinnell, The Jay Group, On-Q/Legrand, Prudential Financial, Sovereign Bank and Cumulus Media; students attending the career fair represented 50 different colleges/universities. Linda is also active in Rotary International having served twice as the President of the Harrisburg East Rotary Club and currently the Chair of District 7390 Youth Exchange Program; and is a member of the National Society of Human Resources and the local chapter of Human Resource Professionals of Central PA.

 

Our Staff:

Patricia (Pat Leonard) - Vice President Career Coaching & Assessments, is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania, York PA where she majored in Behavioral Science.   Pat joined Crosswinds Consultants on a part-time basis in 2002.  She has an extensive career in recruitment and placement including positions as a counselor, recruiter, job placement, HR administrative management.  She has a strong background in skills testing and has worked in the newspaper, healthcare, government, insurance, manufacturing and government sectors.  She is a:
  - Member of the National Society for Human Resource Management,
  - Board Member of the Hanover Area Human Resources Association;
    Committee Chairperson for the Legislative Committee and a
  - Member of the York Society for Human Resource Management.

Privacy Notice

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.crosswindsconsultants.com. This privacy notice applies solely to information from prospective clients who have sent information to Crosswinds Consultants via the application form located on the website or by using the company email address crosswinds@pa.net a and sending information to the owner of the business.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

Crosswinds Consultants is the sole owner of the information that is sent to crosswinds@pa.net. We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily send via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g., to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. We do NOT accept payment online for services rendered (i.e., we do not accept credit cards) and only accept cash or checks as payments for services rendered,

The owner is the only one who maintains records of payment and the information is kept on a computer/server that is kept in a secure environment.

Personal data that is on the resume and is received either as a hard copy or by email, is kept on a computer/server that is kept in a secure location. Resumes are kept indefinitely unless otherwise requested by client to delete and/or shred the resume.

Online Application Form

We have an optional on-line application form for job seekers. The form includes job related questions to be completed and accompanied by your resume or curriculum vitae. We will use this information to contact you and to match you with available job openings that we have.

Cookies

We do NOT use "cookies" on this site.

Sharing

We do NOT collect or share aggregated demographic information with third parties.

This web site does include links for assessing your relocation needs. These sites are not vendors or suppliers of Crosswinds Consultants but are there to help our clients who may have a need for one or more of their services.
